Hotel Equities Named a Leading Third-Party Hotel Operator in North America by J.D. Power
The annual benchmark study includes third-party hotel operators with 14,000 or more branded hotel rooms under management and measures the guest experience across seven key dimensions: guestroom, hotel staff service, value for price paid, check-in/checkout, hotel facility, food and beverage, and hotel connectivity.
Hotel Equities (“HE”), a best-in-class hospitality operator and developer, has once again been included in the J.D. Power 2026 North America Third-Party Hotel Management Guest Satisfaction Benchmark, which evaluates guest satisfaction among branded hotels operated by the largest third-party hotel management companies in North America.
“Being recognized by JD Power as a leading third-party hotel management company is meaningful because it reflects what matters most in our business: the experience we create for our guests,” said Al Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Hotel Equities. “Our teams show up every day with a commitment to service, operational excellence and genuine hospitality. As our portfolio continues to grow and diversify, maintaining that focus on the guest experience remains fundamental to how we create long-term value for our owners and partners.”
The 2026 study found that guest satisfaction across third-party managed branded hotels increased significantly year over year, rising 14 points to 696 on a 1,000-point scale. The findings reflect continued investment across the industry in hotel properties, operations and team member training.
Hotel Equities’ inclusion in the benchmark adds to a growing list of recent third-party validations of the company’s operating performance. In 2026, HE has also earned top performance recognition from Marriott International, including the #1 ranking franchise management company in the U.S. and Canada in the Premium and Luxury hotels category as well as the Select hotels category, based on Intent to Recommend (ITR), a key measure of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
With operations spanning the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America, Hotel Equities continues to scale its platform while maintaining a people-first, performance-driven approach to hotel management. The company operates across focused service, full service, lifestyle, independent, resort and outdoor hospitality segments.
The 2026 J.D. Power North America Third-Party Hotel Management Guest Satisfaction Benchmark is based on guest responses for branded hotel stays from May 2025 through May 2026.
