Marissa Little

Marissa Little

Marissa graduated with a Hospitality Administration degree from Georgia State University. After graduation, she was accepted into the Hotel Equities’ Manager in Training Program. Prior to the start of the program, she worked at a local bakery and as a student assistant in the GSU Housing conference department. Marissa transitioned to the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody as a MIT in August 2017. After 11 months in the MIT Program, Marissa graduated and was promoted to the Operations Manager position at a TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Since graduating MIT, Marissa has been promoted four times with most recently joining the Hotel Equities’ Talent team. In addition to her promotions, Marissa was named one of Hotel Management Magazine’s 2021 Thirty under 30 rising stars in the Hotel Industry.

Marissa’s thoughts on her MIT Experience: “My MIT experience was career building, informative and hands on. I learned all foundations of how to run a hotel from operations to Sales at the Hampton Inn and Suites Perimeter Dunwoody. In addition, to my experiential learning experience I was able to build valuable industry relationships within our company.   “

Jack Meakin

Jack Meakin

Jack graduated with a Hospitality Management degree from The University of South Carolina. After graduation, he was accepted into the Hotel Equities’ Manager in Training Program and began his journey with Hotel Equities in July 2018. Prior to the start of the program, Jack worked in several positions as a raft guide, barback, and bartender. After 8 months in the program, Jack graduated and was promoted to Business Development Coordinator at our Alpharetta Corporate office. Since taking that position, Jack has been promoted twice: Business Development Manager to his current role as a Regional Director of Business Development. In addition to his promotions, Jack was named one of Hotel Management Magazine’s 2021 Thirty under 30 rising stars in the Hotel Industry. In the next 5 years, Jack has hopes of being in a Senior Development role at HE.

Jack’s thoughts on his MIT Experience: “Excellent.  I landed in a great department with excellent mentors and peers. It is a great comprehensive education in our industry.  It prepares individuals well for whatever discipline they which to specialize in.“

Felisha Edouazin

Felisha Edouazin

Felisha graduated with a Hospitality Management degree from Georgia Southern University. Felisha was accepted into the Hotel Equities’ Manager in Training Program and began her journey with Hotel Equities in 2019. Prior to the start of the program, Felisha worked as a front desk agent. After 1 year and 8 months in the program(COVID), Felisha graduated and was promoted to Sales Manager. Within a short 9 months in her new role, she has been promoted to Director of Sales at a Comfort Inn and Suites in Tallahassee. In the future, Felisha has ambitions of having ownership stakes in a hotel.

Felisha’s thoughts on her MIT Experience: “It was a great experience because I got to learn so much and it was nice to see the company invest in my learning and development. I met a lot of great people that really impacted me in such positive ways that I will never forget. I had some ups and downs however that's life and it only helps you grow stronger.”

Corbin Tipton

Corbin Tipton

Corbin graduated with a Business Administration degree from The University of Mississippi. After graduation, he was accepted into the Hotel Equities’ Manager in Training Program. Prior to the start of the program, Corbin worked as a restaurant and beverage store manager. Corbin transitioned to the Fairfield by Marriott as a MIT in July 2017.  After 7 months in the program, Corbin graduated and was promoted to Assistant General Manager of a Home2Suites by Hilton. Since this position, Corbin has been promoted three times: Opening AGM/Bench GM for a Home2 Suites, Asset Manager and Business Development Manager for Hotel Equities, current role. In the next 5 – 10 years, Corbin has ambitions of growing from selling his own territory to leading an entire region of the country and ultimately becoming a hotel developer.

Corbin Tipton’s thoughts on his MIT Experience:” I very much enjoyed my MIT experience. I was located in Lynchburg, Virginia under a future RDO and Area GM. I was able to experience all departments of the hotel and participate in task force and regional meetings. My task force assignments included assisting a property in San Antonio for two weeks and transitioning the FFI Gastonia and two Greenville properties. While I did not get to participate in the annual conference, I was able to go interact with other GMs and above property leaders at the regional meeting in Miami.”

Cammie Nguyen

Cammie Nguyen

Cammie graduated with a Hospitality Management degree from the University of South Carolina (Columbia). After graduation she was accepted in the Hotel Equities’ Manager in Training program.  Prior to the start of the program, Cammie began her experience in a Front Desk role at Disney Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Cammie transitioned to the MIT Program in July 2019. After 1 year in the MIT program, Cammie graduated and was promoted to the Assistant General Manager at a Courtyard by Marriott. Cammie sees herself 5 years from now as a professional having in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry.

Cammie Nguyen’s thoughts on his MIT Experience:” The MIT program carries a unique arrangement to aid recent hospitality graduates like myself to experience the full aspects of what hotel leadership would be like by participating in all departments. This enables trainees to practice and obtain new skills in preparation for a higher management position.”
