Strong Opening

Upon opening in June 2011, Hotel Equities’ award-winning hotel operators quickly positioned the hotel as “the” hotel in the Lake Charles market.

Continued Growth

Since the hotel’s inception, Hotel Equities’ management has ensured an average year-over-year RevPar growth of 20% in 2012 and 2013. The hotel continues to show promising growth in 2014 and brings in RevPar at 40% above market.

Increased Performance

Upon assuming management, Hotel Equities made numerous revenue management decisions that increased the performance of the hotel in all areas of performance.

Financial Expertise

In 2013, the hotel was refinanced. Hotel Equities used financial expertise to structure the refinancing in such a way that investors still received distribution checks throughout the process.

Case Study 3 Courtyard by Marriott

Increase Since Takeover

In the seven months since Hotel Equities’ takeover of the hotel, the Courtyard has seen a 31% increase in ADR and a 48% increase in RevPar. ADR and RevPar are both up 33% and 38% respectively over June 2013 numbers.

Occupancy Increase

In June 2014, the hotel saw a 5.2% increase on occupancy over June 2013. RevPar is up 38% over June 2014. Upon assumption on management of the hotel, Hotel Equities utilized both its extensive operational and revenue management experience to give guests an experience worth remembering and to drive the room rate to the absolute limit to maximize hotel revenue while giving the guests a best-in-class experience.
